You communicate with your computer using a keyboard or mouse. Your computer communicates with you through your monitor, which is probably the most expensive single item on a computer system.  If at any time it becomes necessary to have it repaired you'll need to consider that a poor repair or incorrectly adjusted monitor may lead to early life failure of internal components.  There are also health risks to consider, eyestrain being the most common complaint.  For these reasons it is important that only competent technicians in well-equipped repair centres repair monitors. You'll also need to find a repair centre with the best chance of repairing your monitor or it could end up in the BER (Beyond Economical Repair) pile unnecessarily.
